Below, you will find my personal story and experiences of trying to navigate betrayal trauma. But first, I wanted to say I am so sorry you are going through this too :(

Infidelity, or when someone cheats in a relationship, can be very hurtful. It can leave you feeling sad, angry, and confused.

The discovery of infidelity can leave you with emotional trauma, and with mental health issues.

The pain from this kind of betrayal is called infidelity trauma. If you’re going through this, know that you’re not alone and healing is possible but most definitely could take a long time to do so.

Betrayal trauma, such as infidelity, can also lead to significant psychological distress.

In some cases, it can result in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), a mental health condition triggered by experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event.

It’s characterized by intense, disturbing thoughts and feelings related to the traumatic experience.

It can really mess with your nervous system too. It can do SO much damage and you can lose your sense of self. I know…
